A definition
Community enterprise refers to the activity of starting a preferably worker owned and managed or a community/worker hybrid cooperative organization or business venture within a community that is socially and economically important for that community, such as setting up a small business to produce traditional crafts and employing community members bringing employment, income, equity, and self-sufficiency to the community.
