U.S. Solidarity Economy Network (SEN) is the national solidarity economy network in United States.

History

The solidarity economy was widely discussed for the first in the United States at the 1st U.S. Social Forum which took place at Atlanta, Georgia in June 2007 and on the next month SEN came into existence. It received considerable supports from similar networks from neighbouring countries (Canada and Mexico) and was later incorporated into the North American Network for Solidarity Economy (NENSE) at the continental level, publishing books and other useful information. In March 2009 it held its first national forum at Amherst, Massachusetts and is now preparing for a session at the 2nd U.S. Social Forum to take place in Detroit, Michigan in June 2010.
